33rd Tehran International Short Film Festival will be held in Iran with screening 100 films from 41 countries like Italy, Turkey, Armenia, South Korea, China, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, France, Germany, Canada, USA, Japan, Argentina, Swiss, Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, England, Greece, Russia, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, Poland, Denmark, Cyprus, Uruguay, Indonesia, Peru, Ireland, New Zealand, Vietnam, Bulgaria and Iran in several competitive sections like International Competition, Competition of Iranian Cinema including Featured Films, Documentary, Experimental, and Animation, Asian Film Competition, several other competitive sections and…from November 8-14th in Charsou Cineplex in Tehran.
In this film festival there are many other programs too such as Tribute of “Abbas Kiarostami”, the Iranian late famous director, Special Seminar “Cinema and One Attitude” by several Iranian famous Directors like “Ebrahim Hatamikia”, “Ahmadreza Darvish”, “Nazanin Mofakham”, “Mehdi Karampour”, “Mohammad Ali Hosseinnejad”, Tributes of number of Iranian cineastes like “Khosrow Sinayi”, “Maryam Boubani”, “Houshang Mirzayi”, “Majid Barzegar”, “Mostafa Aal-e Ahmad”, Meeting with “Jukka-Pekka Laakso” the Manager of Tempere Film Festival in Finland, Meeting of “Sayoko Kinoshita” the Director of Hiroshima Film Festival in Japan, Screening of selected works of “Khosrow Sinayi”, the Iranian veteran director, also some special workshops like Scriptwriting with “Farhad Tohidi”, Structure of Short Film with “Ahmad Alasti”, Titling in Cinema with “Amir Mehr Filan”, Film Music with “Christoph Rezai”, Aesthetics in Sound with “Behrouz Shahamat”, also “Book and Cinema” section, International Conference of Short Film (Past, Present and Future), Review of German short films, German Oskar Winner Short Films, “Video Art” Section, Islamic and Universal Peace Films, …will be held.
Members of Jury Board in Competitive Section of 33rd Tehran International Short Film Festival are “Khosrow Sinayi”, Director and Head of Jury Board from Iran, “: Julliete Duret” the Art Director from Belgium, “Jukka-Pekka Laakso” the Manager of Tempere Film Festival from Finland, “Shubhra Gupta” writer and Film Critic from India, and “Anna Henckel-Donnersmarck” the director from Germany.
Members of Jury Board in Competitive Section of “Iranian Cinema” are “Ahmad Aalemi” the University Professor, Documentary-Maker, Film Critic, Writer and Translator, “Mohammadreza Honarmand” Iranian Director, “Reza Mirkarimi” Iranian Director, Scriptwriter, and Producer, and “Davoud Khayyam” Iranian Director.
Tehran International Short Film Festival is one of the most important and authentic festivals in the word and it has a good place among short film directors worldwide; many filmmakers send their recent films to the secretariat of the festival in every edition.
