The winners of the first Slemani IFF has been selected
Mansour Jahani – The winners of the first Slemani IFF has been chosen.
The golden Awards and Respect letters has been given to the winners and some other cinema individuals. The ceremony of the First Slemani IFF, with the presence of Mala Baxtiar, the Head of the sponsor board, and one of the political faces in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Dr. Ali Badrxan, the Kurdish famous Cinema face in Egypt, Sami Qaftan, famous Iraq actor, Fuad Jalal, the festival manager, Dr. Salahadin Saeed, The head of the university of Slemani, and the memeber of the juries of the different types of films such as feature and short films, and World cenima, and Kurdish cinema, and Abdul Hama Juan, the head of the festival board, Ahmad Salar, the famous cinema and theatre actor of Kurdistan, Mahmood Abu Al Abbas, the famous Iraqi Actor, Suhail murshidi, The famous Egyptian Actress, Aska Kamal, famous Iraqi actor, and many other local and international individuals, as well as the Artistic Director of the festival Danar Omar, Jamil Rostami, the director of the films ( Zhani gal), Shiwani bafr, Chaw, and many more of Cinema and film lovers, in the Congress hall of University of Slemani and Kurdistan Region.
At first the jury memebers of the feature films of international cinema and Kurdish cinema, whom were, Dr. Sarbast Rasool, the university lecturer, and doctorate degree holder in Cinema, in Kurdistan of Iraq as teh Jury president, Shawkat Amin korki, a director and screen writer in Kurdistan, Touraj Aslani, a director of photography, and film director from Iran, as well as Miss Cushla dillon, a monter from Newziland, and Kameran Rauf, actor director from Kurdistan, in front of the T.V channel cameras and the presence of a lot of photographers have walked on the red carpet of the festival, after that the show went on by lighting candles and remembering the Kurdish cinema famous souls, of Taha Karimi,w Kawre Karimi and Hiwa Karimi, and respect their souls by having a moment of silence.
Remembering the Kurdish filmmakers in the closing ceremony of the first Slmemani IFF, with the effort of kurdish filmmakers such as , Mehrdad Sulemani, Satar Chamani gwl, Visa Salihy, and managers of the production company ( Stak Film), Salim Salavati, and Soran Fahim, and the festival management members and many other cinema lovers, and lighting candles beside the portraits of film makers that past away such as Taha Karimi, writer and director, and Hawre Karimi, cinema journalist and cinema student in India and Hiwa Karimi, and many other photographers and T.V channels, these three artists who past away in the recent three years who left their close relatives in grief.
the opening of this ceremony bas been presented by by Miss Lina Raza, and Hameed Banaiy, Miss Gaziza Omar, a memeber of the festival board, has presented a speech and it has continued by a speech of Mr. Mala Baxtiar, the head of the sponsor board of the first Slemani IFF, and be claimed that he will continue supporting the festival for the second edition of the next year.
Later in the festival there has been a special video message to the first Slemani IFF from Costa- Gavras, and then the Kurish music group named Slemani, has presented 2 pieced of Kurdish folclore music, and 2 Kurdish songs has been presented by the singers Kizhan Ibrahim Xayat, and Hemn Hussein, which has been welcomed and applaused by the audience.
And then in the festival closing ceremony and by the juries of national and international feature and short films, the awards has been given. which are:
The golden award to best festure
film goes to the film ( Absolution), directed by Petri Kotwica frkm Finland.
The golden award of the best directer goes to Manosaus Manosakis for directing the film Clouday Sunday, from Greece.
Golden award of the best editing goes to the film Absolution directed by Petri Kotwica, from Finland.
the golden award for the best cinematography goes to Kostis Gikas, of the Film Clouday Sunday,from Greece.
the golden award for the best screenplay
goes to Petri Kotwica and Johanna Hartikainen, for the film Absolution,from Finland.
the golden award of jury goes to the film Black Horse memories, directed by Shahram Alidi, which has been produced by cooperation of Iran and Turkey artists.
and The special board of Respect award goes to the best cinematography Amin Jaafari, for the Film Drum, directed by Kaiwan Karimi, the production of Iran and France with cooperation of each other.
the Special board of respect award of the juries of Kurdish national cinema goes to Farewell Analog, directed by Hiwa Aminnejad in the country of Iran.
And a special award as a respect for the soul of the artist Taha Karimi, named as Taha Karimi, which has been given by the close relative of the artist Soran Fahim, goes to the kurdish director Shamall Aba Rash.
Special Masti film company award goes to the best Scenario, which has been presented by Dr. Dlshad, to the best screen writting Mina Is Laughing, written by the famous kurdish actor and director Shwan Atuf from Kurdistan region of Iraq.
As well as by the Juries of international short film which were Dr. Dlshad, university lecturer and the jury president, also Miss Ruth Nunez, a well known spanish actor, and Miss Nicole Guillemet, the artistic director from the United States of America, has given the awards of the winners:

the golden award of the best director goes to Kamal Parnak for directing the film Hasti, from Iran.
the golden award of the best film goes to El Incio De Farbrizio, directed by Mariano Baisin from Argentin.
the Special jury award goes to the short film L’etourdissement, directed by Gerard Pautonnier from France.
And the members of the short national folm Juries which were, Awat Osman Ali, director from Kurdistan and the jury president, Basim Kahar, Iraqi actor and director, Wafa Mala Rahim, director of photography from Kurdistan, the have chosen the winners:

the golden award of the best director goes to Hawraz Mohammed, for directing the film Land of The Lost.
the special jury golden award goes to Salim Salavati for directing the film Pale Mirrors from the city of Sinna in Iran.
the golden award of the best short film goes to White House, directed by Arastoo mafakheri from the city of Sinna.
The special board of respect award goes to the film Oxygyn vs Blood directed by Masoud Arif from Kurdistan and the production of Touraj Aslani and Omar Tovi, by cooperation of Kurdistan and Germany.
As well as Dlshad Ahmad the head of the Yotobori organization in Sweden has come on the stage of the first Slemani IFF, and claimed that the staff of the 3 kurdish winner films will be invited to be screened in the Sweden.
The first Slemani international Film festival, bas been created by the Masti Film company, and the ownership of Fuad Jalal, the festival manager, and the artistic director Danar..
Danar Omar, and the programming manager and designer, Miss Lina Raza, and screening of 55 international and national feature and short film from all over the world such as the countries
of France, Iran, Turkey, Finland, United Kingdon, Germany, Netherlands, Palastine, Brazil, Greece, Canada, Argentin, China, United States, sweden, Slovania, Iceland, Iraq, Russia, Spain, Japan, Belguim, Italia, Norway, Portugal, India and Kurdistan, and many other Seminars, workshops and panel has been presented In the Slemani city, Kurdistan region of Iraq.
