With the Works of Iranian Famous Directors 35th Fajr Film Festival Kicks Off in Tehran
Manosur Jahani – with the full-length, documentary and experimental works of Iranian famous directors also young ones, 35th Fajr Film Festival will be held in Tehran and Iranian provinces.
“Iranian Cinema moves fast and enthusiastic youth with the world of energy and new thoughts arrive one after one; youth who looks enthusiastically to tomorrow, hand in hand with the big men of cinema follow their dreams hopefully. This is the secret of all fortunes of Iranian Cinema; the cinema that has roots in the traditions while interested in modernism.”
Mohammad Haydari, the director of 35th Fajr Film Festival wrote these lines in a note about the festival.
“Now, we are on the threshold of holding the 35th Fajr Film Festival which is the glamorous feast of honored Iranian Cinema in the glory of biggest revolutionary of the century, means, Islamic revolutionary of Iran. 35th Fajr Film Festival is the ceremony of Iranian Cinema’s Veterans also this is the gathering of Iranian at and enthusiastic youth. This great and epical ceremony will be held in different sections; “Iranian Cinema Panorama”, “Iranian Cinema Competition”, “Best Audience Film”, “Cinema-Verite” (Competition of Full-Length Documentaries), “Competition of Cinematic Information and Advertisement”.
A jury board including cineastes and cultural-artistic scholars will dedicate “Crystal Simorgh” award to winners in “Iranian Cinematic Competition” including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script, Best Leading Actor, Best Leading Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Musical Score, Best Sound, Best Set and Costume Designing, Best Make-Up, Best Special Effects, Best Visual Effects, Special Jury Prize, Best Talent (For First Films), also Crystal Simorgh for Best Film Picture.
35th Fajr Film Festival screening of 28 films in “Iranian Cinema Competition”, 11 films in non-competitive section “Iranian Cinema Panorama”, competitive “Cinema-verite” (Competition of Full-length Documentaries) also “Competition of Cinematic Information and Advertisement” will be held in 31st January to February 10th in Conference Hall of Tehran Milad Tower, Tehran Cineplex, and Iran provinces.
